Be forewarned: Canadian lists from travel during the war years up to December, 1945, are, for the most part, not transcribed and are only available on microfilm through the Library and Archives Canada, in Ottawa, Ontario. They can be ordered through inter-library loan.

The service is easy to use and can yield fabulous results, not just for War Brides but for anyone searching for their immigrant ancestors because they have such a huge inventory of other passenger lists as well as birth, death, marriage certificates from around the world.

Debbie discovered the war bride collection some years ago in among several thousand other boxes at the British National Archives.
